It's been an exciting last few weeks. We had these in our classroom. We've been counting down our days until 'hatch day' It's time to hatch... We were lucky enough to be at school when our first chick hatched. We got to watch it peck and work it's way out of it's shell. It was a tiring process for our little friend! We all got a chance to hold a little chick. So cute! We were lucky to have a few visitors to our classroom. Our friend, Piper, came to our class and brought her hens, Summer & Basil. She taught us a lot about them and how she looks after them. We got to watch Piper give them treats to eat and she even took one of her hens for a walk around the classroom on the leash. We also got an opportunity to touch Summer. Many of the children enjoyed just sitting and watching the hens during Activity Time!
