On our last day of school before our Christmas break we enjoyed a school-wide Christmas carol sing-along. Mrs. Eagles' mom, Mrs. Owens, came and played the piano for us. We sang some songs that we new and we learned some new ones. A nice way to celebrate our last day together!
Our drawing & writing centre with Christmas vocabulary and booklets, dot-to-dots, and a variety of Christmas pictures.

To decorate for our Christmas concert the children worked together to create a hand wreath for the entry door to the gym and a painted hand-print tree for beside the stage.
Just to add to our fun on Friday - it was "Dress As Your Favourite Character" Day. The students had some great costumes! After we decorated Christmas cookies, we paraded through all of the other classrooms in the school to show off our costumes.
We had quite a morning last Friday!! All of the kindergarten and grade one students got together in Mrs. Svenson's classroom to decorate Christmas cookies. We had 85 children all together in one room. Oh, what fun!! Thanks to Mrs. Svenson for making close to 200 cookies for the students. The best part was when we were finished; we got to eat them!! Yum!
I'm Mrs. MacDonald. Welcome to a window into our kindergarten classroom. My goal of this blog is to give you an opportunity to see some of the things that we are doing at school. Enjoy!
