We've been doing a variety of activities related to apple season. The children all made tissue paper apple trees. Our finished trees: At our Discover Center we've been checking out different kinds of apples... ...and matching our apples to their name cards. We taste-tested some of the different kinds of apples and then graphed our favourite. Mrs. Zirnhelt's class came to visit and we talked about the different parts of the apple. We found the star inside! It has an important job - to hold the seeds! We then cut up our apples, put them in a pot and cooked them. We used our apple press to make them into applesauce. After the children tried the applesauce they completed our taste-tester sheet. Make sure that you check out your child's sheet to see what your child thought of it.
