We took part in a class scavenger hunt to find 100 numbers to put in our 100-chart. Then we had to get organized to put them into the chart - in order. It was a lot of counting!

The children have enjoyed looking at the eggs with our magnifying glasses at our "chick centre" and also looking at some of our fiction and non-fiction books. We know we are getting very close to hatching day so we have been "cheaping" at our eggs and listening to hear if they will "cheap" back at us - nothing yet! Our "Chick" theme vocabulary is in our drawing & writing centre. Creating "chick" booklets has a been a popular activity during our Activity Time. Some of the children have enjoyed reading their booklets to their classmates. Library Time with Mrs. SauerWe went to the library and did a few SMARTBoard activities with Mrs. Sauer, our librarian. We had fun "setting up the incubator" on the board just by moving the things with our hands! We watched an fascinating photo sequence of what would be happening inside the eggs each day. We got to see the daily growth and development of the chick over the full 21 days. Amazing!
