During "Quiet Plasticine" time in the afternoon the children enjoyed forming alphabet letters out of plasticine. They discovered some letters are easier to make than others! Plasticine is a great way to develop the small muscles in their hands. It is more difficult to manipulate and mold than playdough so the children have to work harder to make things with it. Development of fine motor skills is important for printing and cutting skills.
